GRAVITY
Jason Frost discovered the powerhouse band quartet known as Gravity orbiting the alleyways and Mean Streets of New York City. He knew right away that they had all the makings for super stardom. Gravity’s music is new millennium rock n roll metal at its very finest. Their sound is rock solid, catchy and timeless. Gravity’s tracks were mixed/engineered by Jon Kaplan (of Atlantic Recording artists, The Hatters) who is also known for his work on Gavin Degraw’s highly acclaimed new album Chariot Stripped and song “Chariot” recently featured on Showtime’s “Dead Like Me.” He has also mixed, engineered and produced tracks for some of the biggest names in music including LL Cool J, Jennifer Lopez, *N Sync, Will Smith, Busta Rhymes, Janet Jackson and some heavier and more rock edged bands like Lola Ray, Grandaddy (and New Line Cinema’s “I am Sam” soundtrack) and more…in addition to tracks by Brad Roberts new band “Gravity.”
Brad Roberts is the band's inspiration and soul. He has written hundreds of songs and is the center of Gravity. He remains true to his artistic beliefs and his bandmates. A.J. Maltese is the foundation of Gravity. He is always focused on arrangements and live presentation. A.J.'s grounding bass riffs keep Gravity from lifting off the earth. He is an accomplished producer, the co-owner of Threshold Studios and records many of New York City's finest bands. Joe Hogan screams on guitar, highlighting every break and accenting the band's powerful, high-energy rock sound. Joe is a recording engineer at Loho Studios where he recently engineered The Blue Man Group record. Other recordings include Guided by Voices; The Breeders; Toilet Boys; Ronnie Spector with Patti Smith; Ryan Adams; D-Generation; Yo La Tengo; Misfits. Mike "Beans" Benigno plays the skins with power and passion and is the glue that holds Gravity together. Beans recently co-wrote and played on the Kelly Osbourne Record and recorded drums for Pink for Charlie's Angel's Soundtrack. He has also performed and recorded with Ric Ocasek (The Cars), The Candybutchers, The Figgs, Drill, To The Moon Alice, Ric Wake, The Voyces, Michal Towber, Sarah Greenwood, Vixtrola, Kenny Davidson, Dibs Reaction, A&M, Geffen, Columbia and Epic records.
